A Perfect Connection

For good practice a firm connection must be made between the castor and the transport device. The type and the size of the fixing element must suit the construction and the field of application of the transport device. Here considerably different forces can affect the castor attachment.

Fixing Types

The following types of fixings are used: 

 

Bolt Hole

Access hole through the swivelling axis of the

castor for connection with movable equipment.

Top Plate

For bolting onto metal or wooden structures.

Expanding Socket Fitting

For tubes.

Threaded Pin

For screwing into metal or wood structures.

Pin for Nylon Sockets

For Ø- and tubes as well as wood structures.

Fixing Pin

For stable attachment in tubes.

Sockets

For fixing pins.

 
* For Special Applications 

* Side Plate

For bolting onto the side or end of a truck.

Assembly Instructions

Below is an example that demonstrates the fitting instructions for a wheel in three stages. The example used in this instance is a 315 wheel.

Please Note: these assembly instructions do not apply to all Colson wheels.

Stage 1

Wheel as supplied (+ Washer & Nut)

Stage 2

Remove Axle Cap and dispose of responsibly

Stage 3

Align and insert axle into hole and
secure with Washer and Nut supplied.
Recommended Torque setting - 10N
